Swansea City Football Club have once again secured their premier league status. They have invested heavily in improving facilities with a new purpose built training facility near their football stadium. This prestigious project required a BREEAM assessment for sustainable buildings. Altec were nominated for this project due to their superior thermal efficiencies that were achieved .
Altec Systems has chosen the LogiKal software solution from Business Micros (Aluminium) as its software launch partner.
LogiKal was the obvious choice because it is so widely used by the majority of the UK’s fabricator’s and is renowned for its functionality and ease of use. Managing Director Carl Richards says: “LogiKal has quite deservedly become the dominant software system across the aluminium sector so it is obviously essential that our new systems are fully compatible with it and all of our new data-sets are available to fabricators already using LogiKal. “We have worked closely with the technical and programming team at Business Micros (Aluminium) ahead of our launch so that fabricators can quickly and easily add our systems to their product ranges.”
Altec has just launched a new patent pending aluminium window system capable of achieving a U-Value of less than 1.4 and a WER A rating in a standard 60mm casement window fitted with a standard Argon filled double glazed unit. Altec expect this to make a significant impact in the market, giving aluminium fabricators the opportunity to target projects where PVC-U windows might previously have been preferred on the basis of thermal efficiency.
A key feature within LogiKal enables fabricators to calculate the U-Value of a window at the design stage so it will be possible for them to make side by side comparisons of the thermal efficiency of their existing windows with the Altec Systems’ alternative.
LogiKal also allows cost comparisons to be carried out so that all those projects where the Altec Systems is the most thermally or cost efficient solution will be instantly identified for users.
Carl Richards adds: “Via LogiKal, fabricators will be able to see for themselves the benefits and opportunities presented by our new system and we are very confident that it will have a real impact on our ability to win business from the outset.”
Work is near completion for the completely refurbished £300,000 investment for Sinclair Volkswagen showroom’s in Newport. The ACW-55 system was chosen for its clean aesthetic looks. Powder coated in a modern metallic RAL colour created an ultra modern and spacious interior making the showroom light and airy.
M & P in South Wales are Europe’s largest motorcycle parts and accessories company, have recently constructed a purpose built building. The ACW and NTS range were used throughout for the facades and automatic sliding doors. These prestigious motorcycle showrooms are home to Kawasaki, Piaggio and Harley Davidson dealerships.
